1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
The important thing is what we are going to do for God once we have turned to him. The instruction to those from Thessalonica was simply serve while waiting. Their service was most effective. In Paul’s assessment, not only had the word of the Lord sounded forth from them in Macedonia and Achaia, but their faith in God has gone forth everywhere.
