At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
Matthew 25:6-7
Then came consternation in the virgins who had failed to prepare enough oil in their lamps for the bridal procession. When believers who look forward to their Lord returning find he has come, it will be too late to develop a Spirit-led life so as to impress him. He knows our state of readiness now. Are we walking with the Spirit, and heeding his guiding voice?
