“Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.”

2 Chronicles 20:17

King Jehoshaphat was in trouble; the Ammonites, Moabites and their allies had invaded Judah and he was faced with a ‘vast army’. Encouraged by the prophet Jahaziel, he called out to the Lord God for help, confident that you will hear us and save us (v.9); and led his people into battle praising God. His confidence was not misplaced, and the Lord gave Judah a great victory. God never changes, so we too can face an uncertain tomorrow in the certain knowledge that the Lord will be with us; assured that he will hear us and save us whatever lies ahead.
