The Lord Jesus had no sin. He didn’t need to publicly demonstrate dying to sin and rising to walk in a new way of life. But his baptism foreshadowed the purpose for which he came to earth – to die for your sins and mine, and to rise from the dead, mighty to save. No wonder God expressed such delight in his beloved Son.
