Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

We are told little about Joseph, but from what we do know it’s clear that he was a man who lived out Micah 6:8 – He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
It’s evidenced in this one verse. God never makes mistakes in his choice.
We are chosen in Christ too. May that thrill you and challenge you at the same time.
