This incident reminds us of the Lord’s words to Samuel when the sons of Jesse were brought before him: People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. (1 Sam.16:7) Sacrificial giving is always noticed by the One who gave himself as a sacrifice for us.
