Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
Isaiah 64:4
What a wonderful God is ours! One who always acts in our own best interests. Like everything else about our omnipotent God, his timing is perfect. David appreciated this when he wrote, My times are in your hand. (Ps.31:15) We live in an impatient society that tends to want everything yesterday. In contrast, let us be willing to wait patiently for him; he will never fail to act for us if we do.
