Then the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning – there were all the dead bodies!

Isaiah 37:36

The Rabshakeh was wrong to think Hezekiah’s God was like the man-made images of the other gods. The king of Assyria was challenging the High King of Heaven – with devastating results. His army was broken, and Sennacherib retreated. Still, that wasn’t the end of the story. Ironically, while Sennacherib was worshipping his man-made god, Nisrok, two of his sons murdered him.

We worship the one true God and, like his people of old, we can rely one hundred percent on his power to save us.
