“With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

Isaiah 12:3

As Jesus sat beside Sychar’s well in the heat of the day, he saw a Samaritan woman come to draw water and asked her for a drink. Little did she realise, as she willingly obliged, who she was speaking to. She was initially confused by his reply: If you knew who it is that is saying to you ‘give me a drink’, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water. (Jn.4:10) Drawn not from Jacob’s well, but from the well of salvation, it’s available to us. What joy we can share with this dear Samaritan woman as we draw from that well.
