He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around.

The Lord Jesus has power over death. When all hope was gone, he restored Jairus’s daughter to life. Praise God! He died to pay the price for our sins, and rose from the tomb, victorious over death, the firstfruits of them that are asleep. (1 Cor.15:20)
