Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?

Habakkuk 1:13

It’s not wrong to ask God why he lets bad things happen. Habakkuk couldn’t make sense of it until he took it to the Lord in prayer. God’s answer was unequivocal: divine deliverance from oppressive evil will come and faithfulness to him will pay off in the end. Faith shines brightest in the dark.
