No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.

The new life that comes through faith in Christ cannot be accommodated within the old covenant tradition which was conditional on human obedience. The new creation in Christ (2 Cor.5:17), requires a new covenant, validated by the blood of the eternal covenant – founded on Christ’s perfect, unshakeable obedience.
