You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.

Paul and his companions may have been doing the work, but it was the saints in the churches that were responsible for praying them through it – note carefully the ‘must’. He knew very well that for the many to be helped, the many needed to pray. Today the principle still stands firm, for there are still many needy in our world who need our united prayers, both for their salvation, and discipling – keep praying!
