Now Thomas … was not with the disciples when Jesus came … A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them … Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

Thomas missed out on such a blessing it would seem likely his Saturday was pre-occupied with a focus not to miss out again. He knew both peace and assurance of the presence of the risen Lord Jesus by being present next day.
How significant for us is the opportunity to remember the Lord on a Sunday. We can know his presence and peace. To miss it, is to miss out.
