Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.

John 11:38

Jesus was deeply moved by the death of his friend, despite knowing he was about to raise him from the dead. Moved too, perhaps, as he thought of another sealed tomb and his own impending death and resurrection. And did he think too, as he looked forward down the centuries, of all those who have put their trust in him, and who would, on that great resurrection morning, be raised and caught up to meet him in the air to be with him forever (1 Thes.4:17). What a wonderful prospect awaits us!
