“This month is to be for you the first month … on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb …”

Exodus 12:2-3

Israel’s salvation signalled a new start: their slavery was broken, and they were free. Their deliverance began with a lamb and its sacrifice and consequently God’s judgement was turned away enabling them to walk with him and to worship. Today a new year begins and significantly it is also the Sunday. We start by remembering the Lamb of God, who having delivered us, brings us in to worship and further enables us to walk with him through the days ahead.
