In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it – one from the house of David – one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.

What a wonderful combination of Divine characteristics in a single verse of Scripture: ‘love’, ‘faithfulness’, ‘justice’ and ‘righteousness’; and they are all found in the One from the house of David who sits on heaven’s throne – our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord says to my lord, ’Sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.’ (Ps.110:1) Surely, for the One who speeds the cause of righteousness that day cannot now be far away. Amen, come Lord Jesus. (Rev.22:20)
