As a priest of the Lord, Ezekiel had committed himself since his youth to the strict dietary requirements of his position. What a demonstration of his commitment to the Lord. An inspiring example to all, including younger believers to make the same resolution – not to allow defilement with things of the world that the Lord has said are incompatible with a life of godly service to him.
