Christ [is faithful] as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

The Lord Jesus is Son over his Father’s house and faithfulness is shown in one aspect with the great victory of Calvary. Is that house’s survival conditional upon believers in the Lord Jesus holding fast to their salvation? NO! It’s on their walk of obedience in his house, whose house we are if we hold fast. He depends on us to faithfully serve him as his companions (Heb.1:9) in his Father’s house.
