“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
John 10:10-11
No one would expect a shepherd to give his life for a sheep! It would not be worth it. But the Lord Jesus is the good shepherd, and he did give his life for each of us. He thought it was worth it. Can you begin to understand the value that the Lord Jesus places on you? Have you thanked him for that?
