One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”
Acts 18:9-10
What an assurance for Paul, after hostility to his witness! The days of such direct vision are past, but we draw wisdom from (a) the Word, (b) the Spirit’s application of it, (c) circumstances and (d) advice from experienced Christians. By observation, we’ll sense if the Spirit is working with souls we contact.
