Mordecai [said], “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape … And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:12-14
Esther was not one to put herself before others but she no doubt was fearful in approaching the king without him summoning her and be put to death. Mordecai suggested that she had been chosen by God to use her influence with the king to save her people. Sometimes we just need someone to encourage us in our hesitation to step forward in faith to carry out something the Lord has for us to do for him. Is he speaking to you today to do just that?
