“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD.

Looking at the majesty of Scotland’s highest peak, Ben Nevis back in 2021, I found it difficult to imagine anything more stable and enduring than such a mountain. But then I considered the steadfast love of Almighty God. Love so great that it led him to give his own Son to save us; His everlasting love leading to our eternal life. Earlier, Isaiah could write, of peace there will be no end (9:7). Let us unite this morning in praise to the One whose steadfast love has brought us everlasting peace that will never end.
