Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked,
’Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?
We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.’

Matthew 2:1-2

Herod was horrified. He called the chief priests and teachers of the law to enable him to find this baby. They told him to look in Bethlehem, so initiating Herod’s dreadful massacre of the children.
They knew where, but the Magi knew something even better. They knew why Jesus had come. They knew that the king of the Jews was come at last.
