A little extra sleep, a little more slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit;
scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

Proverbs 24:33-34 (NLT)

This is about the habits we form. If we get lazy and start to give in to the temptation to avoid work and take it easy, the danger is it will become a mindset, a habitual shirking of responsibility. The result of this is poverty – poverty which robs us not only of enough money to make ends meet but is a poverty of mind and spirit.
