Then war broke out in heaven.
Michael and his angels fought against the dragon,
and the dragon and his angels fought back.

Revelation 12:7

Here we are given a glimpse of a battle which raged in heaven. Victory was with Michael and the forces of God as it always will be, for our God is stronger and greater than any demonic power.
Paul reminds us that we too are engaged in a vicious warfare against the Devil and his followers (Eph.6:10-12) but if we rely on God, our victory is also certain.
