‘I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;
I will remove from you your heart of stone
and give you a heart of flesh.’

Ezekiel 36:26

Time after time God drew the Israelites back to himself, only for them to backslide again. This verse speaks of a fundamental, permanent change which only God can bring about.
Today, through the power of the cross, God exchanges the dead core within us for a living heart and he fills us with his Holy Spirit. What a glorious gift.
