You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

Psalm 23:5

One often hears the assessment of a person’s approach to life as being either ‘cup half full’ or ‘cup half empty’. It’s the choice seemingly between optimism or pessimism. But for us, as Christians, is our cup not always full and overflowing?
The lovely story of the wedding in Cana, wonderfully characterises our Lord’s provision for us. They took the six water jars and filled them to the brim with the best wine (Jn.2:7,10). Only ‘Premier Cru’, the best wine of France, was good enough for Jesus!
He always gives the very best. In our service for him let’s not hold back but make sure we always give our best!
