“You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.”

Acts 2:28

Peter explains that David was writing about the Lord Jesus in Psalm 16. Jesus would have read this psalm and understood it was speaking of him. Surely Heb.12:2 gives that statement support: For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Messiah had seen how abundant life would be achieved and how that accomplishment would be one for rejoicing in the presence of God.
