The Son is … the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

The impact of the atoning work of Christ had immense effects. Paul refers to one of those, showing that the spoiling effect of the Fall of man has in fact opened a way for the Son of God to have a supremacy over death, having proved to be its conqueror. That’s a matter for our worship, of a God who is so wonderful.
