For we are God’s handiwork,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Nothing random about the good works God wants us to do. Nothing difficult either, as he planned them all long ago. As a further incentive, remember that we are his handiwork created in Christ for just this purpose. A bad workman, so the saying goes, always blames his tools. But what about a good workman? Paul encourages Timothy to be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman (2 Tim.2:15).
What’s stopping us, as God’s approved workers, from emulating the One who went about doing good?
