‘My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle,
and they come to an end without hope.’

Job 7:6

This is the bleak outlook of those who promote a philosophy that there is no existence beyond the grave, that we only have this brief life here on earth to live, then … nothing.

The message of the Word of God, personified in Jesus Christ, is that there is hope beyond the grave and that through believing faith in him, we can be certain of life after death – not a ‘fingers crossed’ hope, but a confident expectation of greater purpose and fulfilment, which also invigorates the way we live our brief life here and now.
