‘Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.’

I remember once flying above a rainstorm and looking down on a rainbow, only it wasn’t a ‘bow’ but a straight line that looked like a giant ruler – and the colour sequence was in reverse. Just a reminder to me of how differently God looks at things! ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord (Isa.55:8). Different ways and different thoughts, certainly, but the promise is the same – never changing, our great God ALWAYS remembers and keeps his promises. Praise his name!
