On the first day of the week we came together to break bread.
Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.

Acts 20:7

They had waited seven days for the first day of the week, so that they could remember the Lord together on his resurrection day. With 1 Cor.16:1-2 and Rev.1:10, we can be sure of the best day for the Remembrance. The address from Paul was so long because it was his last visit there—not an excuse for speakers to overrun!
