“…that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

John 17:26

The Lord finishes his prayer on a wonderfully high note! Not only does he want the Father to love us with the same burning intensity with which he himself was loved, but he also prays that he will be ‘in’ us. This means that not only are we indwelt by the Holy Spirit, but we also have Christ living in us! As Paul explains, to them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col.1:27).
