Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4 (ESV)

Called today to remember our Lord in his life, death, and resurrection, we might well reflect on what those words above meant to him as he read or heard them. We may be sure his thoughts turned to that comfort, as the dread shadow of the cross came near, and he crossed the Kidron valley with his own, to pray on Olivet. But we know he died alone, forsaken by his God, as he bore our sins in his own body on the cross. Amazing love! Amazing grace! Praise him this morning.
