Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

It is proven time and time again that the Bible, the Word of God, is indeed living and active, through the experience of those who receive the comfort and encouragement of the Lord from the Word itself! How often a remembered verse or promise brings that comfort; how often our daily reading is also used to speak to our specific circumstances. Such comfort is not just for us, but also so we can share with others in similar situations.
