For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

2 Corinthians 8:9

We measure his humility by the majesty he laid aside.
We measure his poverty by the glory that was his before the world was.
We measure his grace by the way he responded to the hatred of men.
When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats (1 Pet.2:23).
