He appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. …to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, … to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also.

Paul’s list is not exhaustive. He omits for example Mary Magdalene and the other women he met returning from the tomb on that first morning. But what an amazing privilege to have been one of those witnesses, from Mary to Paul whom God had already chosen. Peter spoke of that to Cornelius (Ac.10:41)! Everyone a born-again believer, like us. It’s a privilege we all have to look forward to one day when each of us, on the unimaginably long list of the redeemed will see him who not having seen we love (1 Peter 1: 8).
