His master saw that the LORD was with him
Josephs lifestyle spoke volumes. It was self-evident to his master, Potiphar, that the Lord was with him. Soon after this, Josephs fortunes changed markedly for the worse and he found himself languishing in prison for a crime he did not commit! But his behaviour didnt change, and it wasnt long before his jailor also recognised that the Lord was with him in everything (v23).
What do people see when they look at us and our lifestyle? Can it be said of us, as it was of Peter and John, they took note that these men had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13)?
