“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Matthew 6:33-34

Perhaps we do not read these two verses together often enough. If we did, perhaps we would think more carefully about the Lord’s ‘therefore’. A mind focused on being of service to the King, and advancing his kingdom, would be less prone to anxiety that ‘adds nothing to your life.’ If we seek his kingdom, we’ll want to be with his people.
